Video Summary
The video details a fundraising event focused on finding the best deals during seasonal sales like Prime Day, emphasizing that only personally considered items are highlighted. While many current offers will likely extend to Black Friday, this event provides a preview. The creator notes a shorter video format due to a focus on a limited number of regions (US and UK) because similar products are on offer globally, rather than exhaustive regional coverage. All links are affiliated, supporting the channel without ad revenue.
The creator strongly recommends using price-tracking websites like CamelCamelCamel before purchasing to verify genuine discounts and suggests checking manufacturer websites for potentially better direct pricing. The video highlights specific deals on various tech products, including compact UPS devices, adaptable NAS cases, portable routers with advanced Wi-Fi capabilities, and powerful NAS systems with high-speed Ethernet and M.2 slots. Several items are presented as personal purchases for future channel reviews.
The summary also covers deals on high-capacity USB backup drives, high-speed Gen 4 SSDs for M.2-ready systems, and a budget-friendly single-bay NAS, emphasizing value and performance for specific user needs. A comprehensive master list of all offers is being compiled and will be continuously updated on a dedicated website, with community features for users to submit and vote on deals.

Key Details
Fundraising Event and Deal Sourcing [0:00]
- The channel is holding a fundraising event utilizing seasonal sales like Prime Day and Black Friday.
- Only items the creators would personally buy are featured.
- All links provided are affiliated, with a small commission supporting the channel.
- The video aims to give an idea of deals that will likely be available during Black Friday.
- The creator acknowledges the "egregious" Amazon marketing around Prime Day.
Again, as anyone knows how egregious the Amazon marketing around Prime Day has been this year, particularly with Black Friday just a month away, I do think it's worth highlighting that, although I'm going to talk about a lot of promos in this video.
Regional Focus and Video Structure [0:58]
- This video is shorter than previous ones because it focuses on a limited number of regions (US and UK).
- This is due to a perceived lack of unique deals across different global regions, with many items being the same.
- The creator spent time verifying correct postcodes for each region examined (Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Australia).
- A master list of all offers will be created and maintained.
So rather than be repetitious, I'm going to show the same items from two regions. That's the US and UK because those are the ones that had the clearest range of offers available in all regions, but a few unique ones.
Deal Verification and Manufacturer Pricing [2:31]
- It is recommended to use price-tracking websites like CamelCamelCamel to verify if a deal is a genuine promotion.
- Users should also check the manufacturer's own website as they may offer the product cheaper directly.
- Benefits of buying from Amazon include security and delivery, but direct purchase may yield better prices.
So in the case of the Being, which is a great little six bay naz to head over to the manufacturer's own page and realize that you can still get it cheaper direct.
Dedicated Brand Promo Pages [3:12]
- Several brands have their own dedicated promotional pages with significant discounts.
- UGREEN offers between 15% and 25% off on many systems, including battery packs and UPS devices.
- Terra Master is running up to 25% off across their range, including new series.
- GLI.net has promotions on mobile routers and KVM devices, from the Slate 7 to the Pulley AX6.
For example, this is UG Green. We talked about this on a video yesterday where the majority of their systems are between 15 and 25% on offer.
UGREEN UPS Deal [4:39]
- A UGREEN UPS device is on offer for $84, down from $99.
- While not the most feature-rich UPS, it's noted as a good, palm-sized option for powering NAS devices.
- It has started working with other NAS brands beyond its initial compatibility.
- It requires a barrel connector and has undergone some pre-production testing.
Again, what more can I say? As UPS's go, there are better UPS's out there in terms of price. You can get some really good UPS devices at 84 that have got multiple plugs.
Adaptable NAS Case [5:30]
- A 28% off deal is available on a manageable, adaptable MATX NAS case, which the creator is personally purchasing.
- While not a tremendous price drop, it's considered a decent price for this type of case.
- This is presented as an item for those interested in DIY NAS builds.
But for a manageable uh kind of adaptable MATX case, this is actually not too shabby at that price, but it's not for everyone, but I wanted to include it because I am personally buying this one.
GLI.net Portable Routers [5:57]
- The GLI.net Slate 7 portable router is on sale for $120, close to its original crowdfunding price.
- It offers Wi-Fi 7 capabilities but lacks the 6 GHz band and a SIM slot.
- It supports MLO and offers bandwidth transfer efficiency benefits.
- The Pulley AX6, a highly regarded portable router, is available for $369, down from around $500 at launch.
- This device features a removable battery, e-SIM and dual SIM slots, an SD card slot, 2.5 GbE, multiple LAN ports, and six antennas.
So if you were interested in this device and were sad that you missed out when it first rolled out with the early early pricing, this is getting really close to that point at 29% off.
Two-Bay NAS with 2.5 GbE [7:35]
- A two-bay NAS with a quad-core processor and 2.5 GbE Ethernet is available for $99.
- The creator is buying this to flash a different OS, intrigued by the low price for the hardware.
- A review of this device will be released on the channel soon.
So, again, I include it here in case anyone else is intrigued, but you will be seeing a review of this device, good or bad, on the channel soon.
Terra Master F8 SSD Plus Deal [8:09]
- The Terra Master F8 SSD Plus is on offer for $639.
- It features an 8-core i3 (N305) processor, 16 GB of DDR5 memory (upgradable), 10 GbE, and eight G3*1 M.2 NVMe slots.
- This is highlighted as an exceptional bargain considering its hardware specifications, especially compared to other NAS units.
- It can run unRAID.
And at 639, I'm not saying that's a small amount of money, but when the majority of four and five bay nazis knock around for about $500 to $600 and they're five or four mechanical starter hard drive, this has got eight M.2 bays and 10 gig on the rear and 16 gig of memory.
UGREEN DXP 4800 Plus and 6-Bay NAS [9:05]
- The UGREEN DXP 4800 Plus is on offer; it has 10 GbE, 2.5 GbE, and an older Pentium processor.
- The 6-bay UGREEN NAS is priced at $799 and is compared to significantly more expensive Synology equivalents.
- This 6-bay model features Gen 4 M.2 NVME slots, a 10-core i5 processor, 8 GB DDR5 memory, and expandable OS SSD support.
- It offers 2.5 GbE, 10 GbE, and a PCIe upgrade slot.
- Even with an i3 processor on a scaled-down version, it's considered a great value at this price point.
And at $799, when you find out that an equivalent Sonology NAS that has 10 GB on it, the DX uh 1823 XS Plus is close to 2 grand. And this is 800.
Western Digital Backup Drives [10:42]
- A 14TB Western Digital USB 3 drive is available for $169.99.
- This is presented as a very cost-effective option for direct-connect backup compared to purchasing a standalone 14TB hard drive.
- A 24TB drive is available for $259, including data recovery services.
- The value proposition of these drives is emphasized by comparing their prices to standalone drives of similar capacity.
And for just $170 or $169.99, you're getting 14 terb of direct connect backup. A 14TB drive. Let's look up 14TB hard drive. How much is a 14TB HDD these days?
High-Capacity SSD Storage [12:28]
- For SSD storage, an 8TB Gen 4 SSD is available for $499.
- This price point significantly reduces the cost per terabyte for fully populated Gen 4 systems.
- It's noted that to fully benefit, a Gen 4 system is required, otherwise, speeds may throttle down to Gen 3.
And at 499 for 8 terabytes. That dramatically brings down the price per terabyte on a fully populated Gen 4 system.
Synology DS124 NAS [14:13]
- The Synology DS124, a one-bay NAS, is available for $139.
- It features a quad-core ARM processor and 1 GB of RAM, running DSM.
- Benefits include access to applications like Surveillance Station, Synology Drive, and Synology Chat.
- The price is considered reasonable for the DSM software alone, especially for remote backup or network storage needs.
And just for that software, 139, whether it is a remote backup on your local area network or more, 139 for a one bay synology, just for DSM's sake, isn't too shabby.
UGREEN DXP 4800 (UK Focus) [15:35]
- The UGREEN DXP 4800, a 4-bay NAS with 10 GbE and 2.5 GbE, is highlighted.
- It's noted as being out of stock in some regions and is considered a rugged, affordable desktop NAS solution.
- It is capable of running third-party operating systems and is seen as a strong contender even against more established brands.
- The current price of £479 (approx. $590 USD) is considered a very good deal, potentially better than Black Friday pricing.
And at 479, it is probably the lowest priced genuine turnkey 4 bay desktop now solution that is rugged AF and you can install a third party operating system.
QNAP TS233 Deal [16:45]
- The QNAP TS233, a 2-bay NAS with an ARM Cortex A55 processor and 2 GB RAM, is available for £152.
- It has a 1 GB network port and cannot be upgraded.
- While cheaper than the Synology DS124, the QNAP software (QTS on ARM) is considered less efficient than Synology's DSM.
- It's a decent option for network backup at its price point, but users should be aware of its limitations.
But again, 152. It's only about 20 $25 off that of uh 2025 give or take that of the Synology offering at the same time.
AR Modular 4-Bay Ryzen NAS [17:52]
- The AR brand's 4-bay "mini" NAS with a Ryzen 7 processor is available for £339 (approx. $420 USD).
- This is a DIY solution and does not include the operating system drive.
- It features dual 2.5 GbE ports and a unique horizontal design for ventilation.
- The design is praised for its airflow and accessibility of connections.
And at 339 for a DIY NAS uh OS free turnkey NAS solution. I really liked this.
Terra Master 2025 Series NAS [18:35]
- The new Terra Master 2025 series (2-bay and 4-bay models) are on offer.
- The 2-bay model, priced at £191 (approx. $235 USD), utilizes an Intel Celeron CPU with integrated graphics and 4 GB of memory.
- It features 2.5 GbE and can run third-party operating systems.
- This is considered a significant price reduction compared to similar hardware from two to three years ago.
- UK prices include tax, while US prices do not.
So 191, you're getting 2.5GB, you're getting an Intel Celeron integrated graphics supported CPU with 4 gig of memory on a two bay solution.
Terra Master 4-Bay NAS (Hot Running) [19:30]
- A 4-bay Terra Master NAS is discussed, known to run hot, though an improved cooling version is available.
- Despite this, the price is considered attractive for a 4-bay flash NAS solution with M.2 lanes.
- It has been outperformed by other models like the Being ME Mini, but it remains a viable option at its current price.
But still, nonetheless, this isn't a terrible NAS. Still, it's, let's face it, it's been beaten horrifically by the Being ME Mini.
WD Blue 4TB SSD [20:08]
- For more economical SSD storage, the WD Blue 4TB Gen 4 SSD is available for £194 (approx. $240 USD).
- It offers decent capacity for populating M.2-ready NAS systems, providing good RAID capabilities and failover.
- This is a more budget-friendly option for achieving substantial SSD capacity.
A lot little leaner in the DRAM distribution, but again, 194 nicer for 2TB uh sorry, 4TB, I should say, is pretty darn good given that includes the tax as well.
Master List and Community Features [20:50]
- The creator will be entering all discussed promotions into a Mega Thread page linked below.
- This master list will be updated throughout the sale period.
- A community tab on the channel's website allows for semi-automatic and automatic listing of Amazon global promotions.
- Users can search for specific deals and also submit their own finds, which are then voted on by the community.
So this effectively scans Amazon's listing to find out more about some of those pricing.
